Dive | West Komodo National Park
Komodo National Park is located between the Sumbawa and Flores islands. Most divers head to Central and South Komodo via Labuan Bajo, which might be a better option for a more intimate experience of Komodo. One of the highlights here is black sand diving, which has incredible macro-life due to the nearby Sangeang Volcano.
West Komodo is the next perfect dive destination if you:
Are looking for a relaxed and private dive experience;
Are new to diving - great conditions and instructors for Open Water and Advanced Open Water Courses;
Want to dive with mantas and macros.
TIP: Plan for a longer stay. You will want to head back over and over again.
Where is West Komodo:
The western edge of Komodo National Park is best accessed from Bima, on the eastern part of Sumbawa Island. Fly Singapore to Bali/Lombok to Bima.
TIP: Want to snorkel with whale sharks? Head to Central Sumbawa before/after for an unforgettable experience.
When Is the best time:
West Komodo is closed during the northeast monsoon season (November-March). Shoulder seasons are always our favourite.
Family-friendly and for the Non-Divers:
Are you the only diver in the family? Don’t worry—please bring them along! The dive resort is family-friendly, with beautiful beach access, snorkelling, and more.
