This is one of our favourite places in South East Asia. We’ve been coming here for years, but only in the last few years has Simon started bringing his road bike. It turns out that it's cycling heaven!
Virtually no traffic, smooth tarmac, a great mix of hills and flatter rides, the intoxicating sights and smells of everyday life in rural Indonesia as well as stunning mountain, rice paddy and sea views. There’s even a contender for one of the best coastal roads in the world!

It's relatively little explored by cyclists but the Etape du Tour Indonesia now uses some of these roads and it's so good that Simon decided to spend a month down here in 2022 checking out all of the routes.
There’s a direct two hour flight from Singapore (on Scoot) and you’ll be based only 30 minutes from the airport.
We partner with an amazing luxury villa resort perched in the hills overlooking the stunning Selong Belanak bay (probably the best beach on the island). You’ll be based there for the trip and can do a selection of day rides.
There’s a mix of routes that can be tailored depending on the level and preferences of your group, from 40 - 150km, from flatter rides up to 2000m of ascent.
This region is also a surfing mecca and full of stunning beaches so there’s plenty to occupy any non-cyclists or when your legs feel the need of a day off. It's a great spot to bring the family along too.
If you plan your last day for Monday as listed below, you can squeeze this trip down to 4 days, 3 night doing all 3 of the Simon’s loops. Monday is the only day that Scoot has a late departure from Lombok.

Fly Singapore 07:45am to 10:35pm Lombok
Transfer to accommodation, get settled in and enjoy your first taste of the incredible views.Welcome dinner at resort.

Kuta Coffee Loop
50km, 800m ascent
The early part of this ride gives you a first taste of the stunning south Lombok coast. Stop for coffee at one of Kuta’s several great cafes and head back through the countryside. There's 3 main climbs today to get those legs firing.

South West Lombok Epic
145 km, 1800m ascent
This is the big one…this ride takes in a big loop around the south west coast and “probably” one of the best coastal roads in the world! Lots of climbing but also loads of great sea views.

Tempos Loop
65 km, 600m ascent
This ride heads inland to take in beautiful lake, river, rice paddy and mountain scenery. Most of the ride is relatively flat with no long climbs, but there is one awesome descent and some short ups and downs in the first few and last few kilometres.

From the moment that you arrive at the destination airport, until you are dropped back off. You will be taken care of.
