Chickenfeet Travels is a travel agent that is repulsed being called a travel agent. We would like to think that we are unconventional, unique, and different.
That is because we do things differently.
What do we do?
We send our Chickenfeet travellers on incredible holidays and adventures that have a positive impact on the developing communities in which our trips operate and help conserve the beautiful natural environment and wildlife of South East Asia and the Himalayas. The sheer act of choosing to travel away from the tourists to discover new and beautiful places while being able to directly give back to the (truly) local communities does wonders for you, both body and soul!
We could not find anyone else offering this service, so we started it ourselves! Simon was our target audience, he was adventure driven but too busy with his 9-5 to search the depths of the internet for something truly authentic to escape to quickly. [WIP] Imagine being able to jet off and escape to a different environment to learn and discover about a new place from Friday till Sun. Think about how refreshed you would be coming back on Monday! We try to achieve those aims in a number of ways, including the following:
We offer an affordable, customised travel planning service from weekends to as long as you can holiday for
We arrange small group trips on set dates for hassle-free, tried, tested, and reliable adventures;
“People protect what they love,” and our experiences aim to inspire others to cherish and protect our beautiful planet:
We generate more business and income for the best and most responsible local guides and travel operators;
We avoid destinations that suffer from over-tourism and take our travellers to the most authentic, overlooked, and unexpected destinations;
We educate people on how to adopt environmentally and socially responsible practices;
We aim to provide people with hope for our planet by sharing good news stories about conservation in the region where we operate;
We donate 10% of our profits to conservation and community development projects where we operate.
What we try to re-create with all of Chickenfeet Travels’ adventures is a sense of discovery and mysticism of unknown and unfamiliar places.
Places that we have “stumbled upon”. Places that we have visited and revisited. These are places where we have spent weeks and months getting to know everything and nurturing our relationship with our guides, drivers, and local operators. There is a difference between seeing a place and experiencing it; and we make sure that you experience a place in all its glory with our favourite people. We are your well-travelled bestie you always wished you had that has all the great ideas for your next holiday, but better than that, we can plan all the details for you too!
In a series of fortunate events, Jinand Simon, the founders of Chickenfeet Travels, met on a crazy dive trip to the Philippines. After catching up over the following years and exchanging travel stories, Chickenfeet Travels was eventually born. With a very different set of skills and experiences, they make an unlikely but perfect partnership for a travel company.

The reason we are in business is to conserve the environment, particularly in places in the world that we love. We see the appeal of spending time, usually ending an adventurous holiday, with some creature comforts and luxury in a touristy area, getting pampered, and eating great fusion food.
We want to help everyone bring back the art of travel and to help people connect with nature, the people of the places we visit, and leave as friends.
